How can I bring emotions like surprise and wonder in a seemingly mundane life through simple design solutions?

This project was inspired by Kelli Anderson’s TEDtalk ‘Design to Challenge Reality’. Our age is saturated with digital filters that augment ‘parallel worlds’, but reality itself is full of surprises. All we need is a change in perspective, a new pair of eyes to perceive it.

I played with various phenomenons like polarized light, anaglyph, etc. and designed clip-ons that work like sunglasses for normal pair of glasses. When a person looks at the packaging with these glasses, they see a hidden message. It is aimed to spark wonder through a simple object. The product and packaging together are a concept brand which is called Portal.
